Letter from the President
Welcome to the website of Eastern Great lakes Chapter of APTi!
As we enter our fifth year as a chapter, we have a renewed focus to promote the interchange of ideas and knowledge concerning preservation technology in Southeastern Michigan and Northern Ohio. We invite you to join us!
We held our first meeting of the year at SmithGroupJJR downtown Detroit office on a snowy Saturday morning in January. Thanks to all that braved the winter weather, slippery roads, and avoided Auto Show parking rates to attend the meeting! We elected officers for the coming year, appointed committees, and thanked officers that have served the chapter for the past year. Frank Pompa shared copies of the book Almost Lost Building and Preserving Heritage Hill Grand Rapids, Michigan, by Thomas H. Logan. As a bonus, we enjoyed the amazing architecture of the Guardian Building!
We have some great events planned for the upcoming year that you won’t want to miss! To find out more, please join our e-mail list.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting scheduled for March.
